Ledgers in re:Members AMS

An accounting ledger is a comprehensive record of all financial transactions of a business. It is most often referred to as a general ledger (GL) and used to create a company's financial statements. The ledger provides a debit and credit entry for each transaction and summarizes details on different GL accounts (e.g., assets, liabilities, and revenue).

Accessing the Ledger

The ledger can be exported from the posted Batch Record or from the Fiscal Period in Detail or Summary (depending on the accounting system configured in your instance of re:Members AMS, one or both options may appear).

Note: Depending on your accounting system, ledgers must either be manually downloaded and uploaded to the accounting system and others can be exported directly from that

Exporting the ledger in Detail, provides a breakdown of every individual transaction for each account.

Exporting the ledger in Summary, provides a high-level overview for each account without listing every transaction that contributed to the balance.

In each of the images above, notice the GL Account numbers. These correspond to the GL Accounts set up within your system found by navigating to the Accounting App > Setup feature> Clicking Edit beside the Business Unit > Setup tab > GL Accounts menu option.
