Using Event Registrant Types

The Registrant Type field on event and session prices can be used to label registrations purchased at said price with a particular registrant type.

The primary purpose for this functionality is to pass a specific value via the re:Members AMS API allowing outside vendors to print that value on a badge.

Note: Using this setting, a Registrant Type is automatically assigned based on the price that the customer receives. Not to be confused with a "Registration Type" custom field, it is not selectable by the customer and is not used in determining the price that the customer receives.

Registrant Type is selected on the event or session price record Details Tab > General Info > Registrant Type.

Once a customer has registered at a price configured with a Registrant Type, the Registrant Type label:

  • appears on their Event Registration Detail page, and

  • can be used in custom badge creation to cause the label to appear on the registrant's badge.

Note: Custom badge configurations can be commissioned in-house or through an external vendor. To learn more about the in-house options, contact Customer Support at (Undefined variable: General.SupportEmail).

Once the event is registered for at that price, the registrant type “label” is visible on the Event Registration Detail page (accessible via the Customer Record > Purchases tab > Events menu option).

Creating a List of Registrant Types

A list of registrant types can be created under the Events App > Setup > Registrant Types.  These registrant types are then selectable when creating a new event price.
