Setting a Query as Private

At times, staff may wish to create a query which is private, meaning not visible or accessible to most other users besides themselves.

Note: Private queries are still visible and accessible to Administrator users.

To set a query as Private:

  1. Build or load the desired query in the Query Builder.

  2. Click the Is Private Query check box.
If the Is Public Query check box is also flagged or if the query is connected with one or more user role(s), clicking Is Private Query causes a warning message to appear. Proceeding will undo the Is Public Query and user role settings.

  3. Click Save.

Note: Queries flagged as private cannot also be assigned to specific user roles or be set as public queries.

The queries that a user sets as private will appear with the "Private" label next to them. No other users will be able to view or run said queries unless the Is Private Query check box is unchecked.
