Including a Custom Form in Membership Mass Renewal
During membership mass renewal, staff may see the option to include a Custom Form on orders created as a result of mass renewal.
Example: ACME Association's membership is configured so the price changes based on a custom field value. During initial purchase or renewal of a single customer's membership, the user can easily enter or update this value in the purchase wizard. The Custom Form setting in Mass Renewal permits these fields to also be updated on orders created as a result of mass membership renewal.
The following settings must be in place to use this functionality:
-
Open Orders: The mass renewal process must be set to create open orders instead of invoices.
-
Form Creation: Either a baseline custom form (Payment.Wizard.IndividualInfo or Payment.Wizard.OrganizationInfo) or a custom-created form must be set up to accommodate the desired fields. Note: Custom-created forms must be created and configured by Impexium staff. If you need to have such a form configured, please reach out to support or to your project manager.
-
"Allow Members to Edit Info in Payment Wizard": The option to Allow Members to Edit Info in Payment Wizard option in the Configurations App must also be set to “Allow for All Open Orders” or “Allow for Membership Orders.”
Editing Field Values in the Membership Renewal Form
Once the membership mass renewal is run and open orders are created, members can navigate to the Payment Wizard. There, they have the option to click the Edit Info button to edit data in the custom field. Based on the custom fields and price setups in your instance of Impexium, this can update the open order to a new price.
Note: The Allow Members to Edit Info in Payment Wizard option in the Configurations App must be set to “Allow for All Open Orders” or “Allow for Membership Orders” in order to use this feature.
